Description

Different measurement and production methods used by V-belt manufacturers result in different length specifications across manufacturers.

However, these differences do not affect the functionality of the belts.

Different industry standards mean that different parameters are used to determine the length specifications.

A distinction is made between external length (Le for short), internal length (Li for short) and pitch length.

The pitch length describes the length measurement at approx. 3/4 height of the belt according to DIN 2215.

Furthermore, the belt tension specified by the vehicle manufacturer must also be taken into account for reliable length measurement, as this is also an important factor in the production process.

Due to these different measuring methods, different V-belt dimensions from different manufacturers can occur on one and the same vehicle.

The Dayco Power Plus belts are characterized by an aramid fiber core, which gives the belt an optimal increased temperature resistance and therefore allows a lower elongation, especially during start-up, as well as twice the wear resistance compared to the polyester belts.

Wear resistance in comparison with polyester products (standard line). The interlocking on the back of the belt also ensures maximum flexibility, a larger surface area and better cooling of the belt during use.
